First off I am always burning candles either it be for prayer, meditation, family, friends, blessings, gazing and a lot of times, "just because" it gives me a warm sense of "inner light",  a knowing kind of feeling and personally, I find it calming when I have candles lit around me.  For me, lighting a candle is inviting into my home the presence of the Divine, God, his Angels, my guardian Angels and my sprit guides.  I am in my comfort zone.
